It’s that time again! Another BoxyCharm unboxing! I get so excited every month to see what is in store for me. And May is no exception. So let’s just jump right into it.
May BoxyCharm: Mother Nature
GlamGlow: Berryglow Probiotic Recovery Face Mask
First up in May’s BoxyCharm, we have GlamGlow: Berryglow Probiotic Recovery Face Mask. Now, I personally love it when skincare is included in a box because there are so many different options out there. Be sure to do a patch test first though to make sure your skin doesn’t have a negative reaction.
A creamy, nutrient-dense soothing mask with antioxidant-rich berries and probiotics that instantly boosts skin’s health, restores radiance, and balances skin’s biome.
Studio Makeup: Ease to Wear Eyeshadow Palette
Next is this very neutral toned eyeshadow palette. The name speaks for itself. It will be very easy to create an everyday, wearable look with this palette. This particular palette appears to be a May BoxyCharm exclusive.
The Studio Makeup Ease to Wear eyeshadow palette displays a versatile color scheme complementing all skin tones for the creation of countless natural and glam looks. This all-day and all-night creamy smooth eyeshadow texture glides on and blends with ease, providing true color coverage in a single stroke.
Trestique: Cover + Concealer Crayon
This product I’m a little weary of just because of my skin type. I have combination skin leaning heavier towards the oily side, especially right through my t-zone. I received the color Bisque which is very close to my natural skin tone so if the formula does work out, I believe it will be good for covering any blemishes I may have.
Side note: I do love Trestique’s packaging. It is great for throwing in your purse and going on about your day.
Finally, you can have extra-smooth, easy-glide application with full, flexible coverage and a lightweight feel. The ultra-creamy, long lasting formula takes coverage and correction to a new level.
Battington Beauty: Harlow 3D Silk Lahses with Mini Glue
This is probably what I was most excited to see in May’s BoxyCharm! I absolutely adore Battington lashes! They’re beautiful, easy to apply, and just fit my eye shape so nicely.
This 3D lash provides dramatic length and volume. If you’re looking to make a statement, this is the lash for you. The 3D lash effect mimics the growth structure of your lashes for the ultimate in natural glamour. Includes mini glue.
Tarte: Micellar Magic Makeup Remover & Cleanser
Another skincare product that I was happy to receive, mainly because my bottle of micellar water that I already have is just about empty. I did quickly open this up to see if what kind of scent it had, just because I’m rather particular when it comes to smells. It was a very faint, skincare type scent; nothing overpowering or disgusting, just refreshing.
The ultimate lazy girl hack – this micellar water is a gentle, no-rinse facial cleanser that removes waterproof and long-wear makeup, excess oil and impurities without stripping your skin’s natural moisture.
Overall, I am pleased with this month’s box. It wasn’t my absolute favorite but they can’t all be winners!
I absolutely, 100% live without the eyeshadow palette. I can achieve any of the same eye looks with any other palette I own. [And that’s a lot.] Also, as I mentioned before, I’m not so sure the concealer is going to be a go for me just because of my oily skin. But I will try it out and let y’all know how I feel.
What did you get in your boxes this month? Were you happy, unhappy with what you received? Sound off in the comments down below! I’d love to chat makeup with you!
Life is hectic. No matter what you do. For me, well, I’m a mom of two young boys living in the countryside, working a full-time job, married to my best friend, and might be slightly makeup obsessed. I’m here to share my experiences, my fears, my dreams, and what little tips and tricks I’ve picked up along the way.
