New Year, New Opportunities

As we all wave a big middle finger to 2020, I’m ready to make some changes in my personal life to make the most of 2021.  The whirlwind of 2020 is far from over.  However, I am going to make a conscience effort to only focus on the positives.

New Year, New Opportunities

My resolution for 2021 is to move forward; in my career, in my family life, in my mental state of mind, with this blog.  By my own admission, I have always been an excuse maker.  I’m the queen of I can’t and this year I’m ready to say I can.

My first step towards being a better me is creating a schedule, not just creating one but sticking to it.  I want to be able to wake up a seize the day.  I want to be able to set a good example for my children.  They need to see that I’m capable of being able to stick to a plan, to put it in motion.  Things as simple as a designated laundry day.  I’m hoping that knowing what is expected of each day, will lift this overwhelming feeling of stress that has been weighing down on me for far too long now.

Also, I want to create a posting schedule.  For this blog and my IG account.  No matter how big or small, I want to be more consistent.  Gritz & Glam turned one just shy of a month ago and I’m proud to have kept it going this long.  Admittedly, it’s not where I would like to be but nothing is going to grow and flourish without putting in the work.

I’ve already taken the necessary steps to also advance in my career.  This next move will directly effect my family life in such a positive way.  I have put off this next step because I wasn’t confident in myself.  With the help of my team and family this past year, that all has changed.  Now I feel ready to blow open this new chapter and take control.

Thank You

I want to take this opportunity to thank anyone and everyone that has taken the time and energy to support me in any kind of way.  It truly means a lot to me.  Life gets tough.  2020 was no exception and 2021 isn’t going to let up (in my opinion).  Let’s continue to grow together, lift each other up, and just love.

I hope everyone has had a safe and happy New Year.  Let’s make the best of it!
